Today marks the 26th Annual International Day of Peace.
Established by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1981, it is a day of global ceasefire and non-violence, wherein all nations and people are invited to stop all hostility and violent actions in an effort to create a global movement for a culture of peace.
In 2006, more than 3500 Peace Day celebrations were held in 200 countries - including all 192 members of the UN. Why not make it personal? Consider what you can do to propagate peace - globally and in your life today.
